Revelstoke is an incredible area for water adventurers and paddlers with the Lake Revelstoke, the Columbia River, the Upper Arrow Lake, the Jordan River and the Illecillewaet river.
For those of you, that are curious about river paddling the Illecillewaet river and the Columbia River offer section begginer friendly. Safety on water is always a must, be sure to know the area and the safe way to navigate before adventuring. If you want to learn Downstream Adventure offer classes to learn these skills.
For the adventurers that prefer flat water, the Revelstoke Lake offer multiple landscapes and waterfall for you to discover. A few area to explore, I would recommend 5 miles boat launch, Martha creek, Carnes creek, Mars creek. From those locations you will find waterfall, creek that you can paddle, campsite, cliff, even secret hikes.

If you are looking to adventure yourself pass the Revelstoke dam and onto the lake be aware of the no cell service in the area. The lake is glacier feed so water that cool but will warm up during the summer month.
For adventure, south of Revelstoke, the Upper Arrow Lake offer a large option to paddle. Make sure to paddle away of the Ferry route. My favorite down shelter bay is to paddle to the Beaton Arm and go check out the small community that live in the area.
An other option, is to start from down and paddle down the Columbia River. From town you can paddle to shelter bay it's a 50km great overnight paddle or you can make it to the flat area or Blankets creek Provincial Park.
Curious and want to know more feel free to reach out to Samuel at Downstream Adventure.
Hope you this read and happy paddling.
